Each assessment tool should require an assessor to provide feedback to the learner, both where competency has been demonstrated and where further evidence is required. Providing feedback shows fairness in the assessment process and allows a learner to understand why a result was awarded.
Evidence of competency is collected on a continuous basis through observation and planned assessments as per prescribed schedule. Students are required to be present at the scheduled time of training and assessment. The student who does not have the knowledge and skills will not be ready for assessment. Students who are not present at the scheduled time will not have opportunity to participate in the assessment.
